| That is absolutely uncalled for, if it occurred as I assume it was presented. The garbage truck position is a general labourer also and they should be supporting each other.
However, there might be more to the story than we know. If there was a desire to turn the public against the dock workers creating a situation like that certainly would be helpful. Sending in a hot head who is already against the dock workers and willing to provoke them could easily cause a situation like that. I’m not saying it couldn’t have happened just as it appears at face value. I’m just saying there might be more to the story than we know about. I’m also not condoning the violence as that is wrong. But the optics of the situation will certainly be used against the dock workers. | |
