| I don't think A lot of you realize that there are few people willing to do blue collar work at odd hours anymore.If they can make half as much and have nights and weekends free then they are content. There are a lot of mechanics/techs that are jumping from one chain to another because they can make 5 dollars an hour by driving 10 miles further to work. When Deere sent work to other countries it wasn't as much the cost of production but getting help to work 12 hour shifts overnight.
Worked with a couple young guys that were good workers who left the factory because their wives told them if they weren't going to spend the night in bed with her she would find someone else that would,one guys wife left him and he didn't realize it for several days,,,he worked 7 pm to 7 am and his wife worked the opposite plus they both spent an hour drive each way.
Either we let in workers or export the work | |
