| Several of my customers planted it. What I've seen so far is it can put close to 10 bushel on 5370 in the right conditions. Only problem I noticed was 5370 had more tar spot than 5497 causing the 5497 to dry slower in the field than 5370 (because of it's better plant health). Have it on some wet feet acres and it performed very well there, field averaged 240bu/ac vs usually 210-220 according to customer records for the last 3 times in corn.
Not ready to quit 5370 yet, still is a great performer on rolling ground that is extremely variable.
Afraid 5370 and 5678 are getting a little to long in the tooth and will be replaced soon, they have been fantastic hybrids here in southern Indiana. | |
