North Mississippi Delta / Alabama Gulf Coast | I kept up to 10 hives a few years ago, between 2 winters of sub freezing weather and a lot of cotton around here, hive loss was high. The mites were terrible but I treated religiously, can’t treat for herbicides sprayed on cotton for miles.
Bees love blooming cotton.
I finally gave up and sold remaining hives and all the equipment to a new Beekeeper for a song. |
