I do not live or farm there, but have traveled through the area. They have rich low-land soils. Used to be lots of poultry operations, not certain that it still is so. Corn grows really tall there. Very good weather conditions on average: high heat & moisture. I was amazed at the amount of pumpkins I saw there: major market along the D.C. metro area. There are some wineries throughout the region, but it is not a major player in the industry: same for fruit.
