Tileplow is correct. A motion without a second dies from the lack of a second and should be recorded as such in the meeting minutes ("_____ made the motion to _____, motion died from lack of a second"). In order to be discussed at the next meeting it would need a new motion and a second.
Also, you can't officially adjourn the meeting without a motion, second and a vote to do so.
