We're used to hurricanes in North Carolina and used to seeing plenty of damage from them. But the amount of destruction in the NC and Tennessee mountains is unimaginable. Communities are wiped out like they were never there. Roads are gone. It will take years to ever get back to some resemblance of normal. It will take weeks to months in some places to get power back on.
