My S-i-L is in FL as a lineman, restoring power - was in TX a month or so back.  In TX, people would give the crews "poisoned" water/snacks/food , they were STRICTLY forbidden to accept ANYTHING from the general public. Crews were also threatened with violence while restoring power.
Haven't hear if FL has been similar, probably won't know until he gets back and we talk - he doesn't share too much of that info with my daughter.
