I have an interesting problem. I have a case IH 7120 combine with a pro 700 monitor. Have been running this setup for multiple years with no issue. No software has been changed recently. All previous data on both the monitor and usb was cleared prior to the beginning of harvest.
We like to track various parts of the field in the monitor with different tasks. For instance, we will typically always have a task labeled “ends” to separate the end rows from the rest of the field average.
This year, every time we restart the machine, it wants to add multiples of the “ends” task in the summary. This is throwing our harvested acres way off. It does the same thing when we move to another field as well. It only appears to affect the “ends” task (typically the first task of the field)
I’ve never run into this before. Does anyone have any ideas what could be going on?
Don't know why it would be doing this, but as a workaround, could you create a dummy Task as the first Task in the field, lower the head and drive a few feet with the rotor engaged to log just a tiny bit of data (doesn't even need to be in crop), and then create your real "Ends" Task and start harvest? If this issue only affects the first Task in a Field, this workaround should get you past the problem. Then you can just delete the dummy task (and any duplicates that the system has autocreated) whenever you want.
