Southeast WI
"Are waitresses trained at all in cash? I’m assuming the answer is a hard no, everyone uses card. I pay in cash, tonight $36.98 bill, give 2 - $20’s and a $10 I get my $10 bill back and $3 ones. (Face palm)"

So the bill was $37. You give her $50. Is that what you actually meant to say? 2 of the 20's covers the bill. Leave a tip and walk out. 2 20's leaves a cheap ass tip. 50 is pretty generous so she returned your money to let you decide what to do. If you needed smaller bills you need to ask. SMH.

I'm glad our local places made it through the covid era. I'm glad they are able to have waiteresses/waiters. Food is expensive but not big city expensive. We routinely leave a 30-40% tip because it's so convenient to drive 4 miles for a good meal vs 15-20 miles.
