 Coldwater, Michigan | John,
I would think that 5-6 gallons total would be in the range of where you want to land. Unless your soils are quite light in nature. I have heard of New Waverly, but can't place it. I grew up west of Fort Wayne 80 miles, and that has been a number of years ago!
I live on the Northwest side of Coldwater, and yes, we have chains of lakes on both sides of Coldwater. The eastern Chain (includes Coldwater Lake) goes south to Coldwater Lake, then west to a new chain of lakes. That chain then goes north and runs along the west side of the city of Coldwater, up the Coldwater river till it meets the St Joe River at Union City, and runs Southwesterly to Niles Michigan area.
I grew up at Star City, Indiana just south of Winamac.
