Wisconsin | You're expecting a lot from a garden hose. I could do a couple sprinklers before my pump couldn't keep up. With a bigger pump, I could do 5 sprinklers off the 1" line with 1/2" garden valves, but there would be one valve and one hose per sprinkler. Assuming you have a frost proof valve out the side of the house, that's the most restrictive part, coupled with the 1/2" pex you'll be lucky to run two sprinklers well. Pressure drop goes up exponentially as you try to force more water through too small plumbing. Running 1" plastic with at least a 3/4" ball valve would probably be plenty, but you'd need to run that to a point with two sprinkers in series on a hose I'd think. | |
