swmn | I have a fair 7830td, use it to bed with cornstalks and straw, beanstraw and have ran some grass hay through it, and am very happy with it. I've ran vermeer, haybuster and highline. For bedding I like the fair the best, I can blow it decently about 80 foot usually, haven't found a bale yet no mstter how crappy it is that it wouldn't handle without any issues its pretty fast and its simple.The highline worked good but every once you could get a bale that would sit just right and can't do a darn thing with it. Eventually just get a loader and dig it out. Usually that's the winter when there might be some frozen chunks on the bottom of a bale. Some crappy wet bales would plug it once in a while. The vermeer is a nice machine also. But a lot more money and a lot more moving parts, in all fairness I haven't ran the vermeer a whole lot. I ran thousands and thousands of bales through haybusters cause they were one of the first with the blowers. Overall their decent machine, if you want to process hay they'll do a little better job, but for bedding their slower, I think take more power and fuel and won't blow the bedding nearly as far as any of the other 3. That's my 2 cents.
Edit to add, another plus on the fair the discharge chute and blower have liners that are pretty easy to replace if needed
