DJI drone ban bill passed the US House of Reps on Sept 9, 2024. Of course the next step is the Senate.

I find the newsletter of "Drone Life" to be a great source of drone info. They are keeping up with the DJI drone ban in print. I'd suggest if you're interested in drones to "subscribe" (free) to Drone Life. Here's their article on the imminent ban:

What is really hard to understand is the need to ban all new (supposedly existing drones can remain....yeah, right!) DJI drones, but there was amazing US government backing to the Chinese lithium battery company that recently opened in NE IL. I'll quit now so as to not migrate too far into "political" discussion. But, in fact the entire subject is basically political.
