NW KS/ SC ID | If its the original engine to the tractor and the block is salvagable it worth the most in its current state, leave it alone and sell it.
2nd,while they were beautiful tractors, they were kinda underbuilt, rear end had trouble holding together as is, let alone with a bigger engine. 210/220 rear endcasting alone I think was like 1000 lbs heavier.
3rd, there is a guy on the Allis Forum that has put the 516 Buda (not 513) in a 7000 and 8000 series and has a few extra rear engine plates for sale last I heard.
You could probably sell the blown up D21, buy a blown up 7080, a running 516, and the adapter plate, have a vastly superior tractor, and have money left over. | |
