It would turn over but the seals on the pencil injectors were melted and blowing compression. Pulled the engine and tore it down, and #1 piston was melted down to the top ring. Exhaust port was plated with aluminum all the way to the muffler...
Took it all to the machine shop and the head was not cracked or warped, block and crank were good. Went back together with a kit and I think that machine is still around, on its third or fourth owner...
The 219 was a tough little motor, I've seen them run out of water, oil, water in the oil, oil in the water, water in the fuel, gas in the diesel tank...they are hard to kill... | |
