NE WI
Our Ford 8700 leaked out the radiator one night from a hole in the lower tank. Was empty and didn’t know it. It was hooked to the silage blower. First load dad noticed more blow by and by the time he ran to shut it down the engine seized tight.

He called the Ford dealer just after it happened. They told him he didn’t hurt the engine. Let it cool off. Added antifreeze back in after leak was found. Started it up fine without blow by. Changed the oil and put back to work.

That was more than 4000 hours ago. Still starts fine, hardly any blow by and oil usage.

Almost 13000 hours on it now. 401 engine is parent bore so no sleeve orings to go bad.
