I think the answer is, make sure that your liability coverage is high enough to handle the landlord's crop value. If you accidentally burn the crop, if the landlord has fire insurance, their company will probably pay and then go after your liability for reimbursement. The only reason for the landlord to need the fire coverage is if they're not confident that you have sufficient liability coverage to protect their share. So, just verify that your liability will cover this peril. |
