central Ia | I went south out of Lake City to run most of the Alpine loop and it is not a gravel road, you get thrown around in a stock Jeep we rented, about as much fun as knocking down plowed ground but the scenery is better. We did in Sept and we had rain, sleet and snow that day, glad we were in a Jeep with a heater but a side by side would be better because it's smaller and there are a few spots on the side of the mountain that are narrow | |
