Nobody said anything about GRABBING anyone’s gun. What has been proposed in this discussion is that the AR15 and similar weapons be legal to own only if you meet the heightened registration requirements. Basically that’s paperwork and a fee unless you are a person that shouldn’t have passéd a background check to start with or have shown a judge and law enforcement by your behavior that you should no longer have the right to own the guns you legally purchased.

Given that a significant part of the gun community say they have to have their AR15 to prevent the government infringing on their rights, I can see how there can be a showdown. You cannot be a citizen or a patriot and believe the hogwash that the government is going to get you if you don’t have your gun.

I think what is happening after each recent child school shooter event where the parents are charged because they provided the weapon will help. If it’s perfectly legal to own one that you have met the background check to own, but when you are connected to one that’s unregistered, you do jail time and pay fines, I think things will take care of themselves.

So those that don't comply with the registration (an infringement) will be taken to jail, fined and would have their guns grabbed. The generations of limp wrist understanding of the Constitution have lead to the hogwash you're proposing as no big deal.
