They don't exactly drive slow on 35 as one gets closer to the cities. Lots of people going 85 there (including my son LOL) as we go through to go snowmobiling.
Rode with my friends from Plano to downtown Dallas. His wife drove 90 the entire way.
Lots of places don't enforce speed like maybe they should.
