Another factor that often comes into play is the number of hours of use/year is often much higher in the construction industry. Many people only put on 100 to 200 hours/year on a combine. For a combine to reach even 10000 hours at 150 hours/year it would take 66 years. A lot of our equipment gets traded because it has become obsolete rather than worn out.
