 Schlegel Farms, Hagerstown Indiana | It wasn't on a Westfield auger but I had an auger with the same setup.
It had enough shaft sticking through the hopper that it had the bearing flanges on the outside after being repaired.
It worked that way for many years afterward.
I might add, that some grease on a wrench was how I held the nuts on the inside to get them started (I used a magnet several times to retrieve the nuts before I hit the magic spot). |
