West central IL | My own personal responses in this thread have nothing to do with cops all being bad. Like all walks of life, there’s both good and bad cops. What I find peculiar and disappointing is how many of my fellow Americans, most of whom I assume would tell the government to screw off about taking a shot, and I don’t disagree with them there, are also suggesting if a cop asks you to do something that you do it no questions asked. It’s led to a lot of police procedures that walk a very fine line to incriminate people and some innocent peoples rights being trampled on. If we want to keep our liberties we must stand together for our constitutional rights at all times, ESPECIALLY when an agent of some form of government is walking the line. I would think most good cops who believed in their oath would agree with me there too. | |
