| Probably not. I think if you welded the stainless to the outer radius it likely wouldn't lay perfect and would create a cavity to catch grain.
I think it would take a really really long time to wear thru a 4" elbow on a 30k bin. I've only seen a few elbows wear thru @ my years working @ a dealership, usually it was in bigger diameter pipe trying to push 1500 BPH and trying to move 200k thru that elbow for many years.
The best thing you can do is keep your VFD or comp valve operating correctly so you have 2-3 lbs back pressure so the grain is moving slow and the tube is full. wear usually happens when your zinging a trickle of corn down a pipe. velocity causes wear to increase exponentially. | |
