Subject: RE: Creating boundaries with tractor or ranger.

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
As I mention above that would be possible but is not necessary with the current arrangement in an Ag Leader InCommand 1200. For the boundary creating process, offsets can be entered that will in effect "move" the GPS antenna to the outside of the tracks. This does not "mess up" an offsets that you may have entered for normal operations. These boundary offsets are just temporary and disappear once the boundary making process is complete.

As others have mentioned, again this is with an Ag Leader, the operator can pause the Boundary making process and drive to a new location. When the process is UNpaused, the system will draw a straight line from the last point to the current location.

As an example, you are driving along creating a boundary and you notice a tree has fallen over into the field. You plan on coming back to remove the tree but wish to make the Boundary through the tree while you are there. You cold PAUSE the Boundary and drive around the tree. Once you got on the other side you could hit the PAUSE again and the system would draw a straight line through the area where the tree blocked your path.

This idea can also be used on an edge that you wish to be straight. You could get lined up and start the Boundary process, then purposely PAUSE it and drive towards the other end. When close to the other end, get lined up again and hit the PAUSE again to continue drawing the Boundary. The system will fill in a straight line between the PAUSE stop and restart points.
