I've done automation work in a plant that installed a packaging line back in 1979. It runs 24/7 for two weeks then is down for 12 hours for maintenance. So with 20 extra days a year for total plant shutdowns. Call it 7000 hours a year to include unscheduled breakdowns. 45 years @ 7000 hours a year equals 315,000 hours. Bankers have sold too many people on "You need to keep your depreciation schedule up."
So......you're running equipment with 50,000 hours then? |
