The replies of sit down and plan out succession are spot on. We’ve done that with my family. I get all the farm assets, my sis gets the insurance when parents pass. Hopefully that’s a ways off yet. Tough conversations and decisions but well worth it. Seen too many families assume everything will end well with a handshake and a promise until $$ gets in the way.
