What compels them to believe they are justified to cruise in the left lane at a rate not consistent with the flow of traffic? I see so many near missed because of these types of drivers. Two things that aren’t going to change, speeding and texting until the vehicles have the ability to automatically prevent it. Until, the police spend more time than they should reprimanding over cautious left lane driver to prevent highways and interstates from being more of a gauntlet than it already is.
If you are a cautious law abiding driver, great, stay in the right lane and drive the posted speed limit. If you are unable to do either, you are the problem.
I understand what you are saying, but I disagree with you.
Texters and speeders are the problem.
Those driving the speed limit in the left lane are way down the list of being ‘the problem.’
I wouldn’t recommend it, but no. ‘The problem’ are those who are not following the rather simple rules.
