SW OH | I've talked to my son about that. He's been at it long enough to see about everything including a gruesome murder/suicide involving an infant that was about the same age as his youngest son at the time. He says he can turn off emotions at will.
I asked him how he would feel if he responded to an accident scene involving me or his mother. He doesn't think it would be a problem. He did transport a female cousin of his. She was in a car accident and he had to remove most of her clothing to treat her. She is very beautiful and he treated her just like any other patient and it did not bother him. She was very embarrassed.
