Eastern NE KS | Maybe unusable in the US. However today, there is a strong secondary market for these damaged cars overseas. Ukraine and many other countries have citizens willing to restore these vehicles to their roads. After an EV is damaged, no doubt value has been lost, just like any wrecked car, but it is not lost to zero.
Some of these cars, perhaps most, are lost to domestic US use. And this happens without any test to learn the repairability of the individual car.
I suggest the restoration and repair techniques will someday come home once safety has been shown. And probably facilitated by insurance companies currently afraid to do this work here.
