Subject: Young Farmer

Looking for advice or some sort of mentor through this process. I went away to college for a business degree and to play sports in college. I then took an off farm job for 5+ years and now run my own small business making good money. Since I was done with college, I have helped with the grain operation and around the farm whenever it is needed (running combine, fixing tractors, helping with plant, putting on Fert, etc). My wife and I have decided that we want to move back since she is still in school and will be the main breadwinner and I will be working part time at best. Our passion is to continue on the 5+ generation family farm operation since the other siblings are not interested, I have always wanted to come back but was unsure of if it would be welcomed or not since we were encouraged to go and get a degree.
We have expressed our interest in this and the parents want us to move back and continue on with farming, we currently farm around 1,000 acres with older equipment. There are many facets to learning more and just doing things is how I learn best but I am seeking advice on the best way to go about this whole process, how to go about the transition process since the parents are currently of retirement age, we are not in a position to take on a ton of debt due to "buying out" the other siblings.
Any advice truely appreicated.
