Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I follow what you are saying but I gathered from the OP that after he created a configuration for harvest, the InCommand allowed him to proceed with it. If so, it must have found the Ag Leader modules dealing with harvest. Possibly he is confused with the process since the combine setup is new to him.

In your case, the Ag Leader would not have allowed you to proceed with yield collection since it would not be able to find the modules that it needs. Your option was to setup the combine as a generic vehicle to make use of the steering and handle yield monitoring another way.

I'm surprised that trying to use a swather wouldn't work. Maybe a swather requires a module of its own and would fail for the same reason that the combine setup failed - that is not being able to find a module that it believes it needs. I don't know which module that might have been. This might have been related to how a swather turns.

Apparently not being able to configure the head forward was not much of an obstacle for you unless the turns were extremely sharp.

We were pleasantly surprised that Ag Leader's Turn Path (assisted turn around feature) on the planting tractor worked well for us in a field that had some extremely tight turns due to bordering a lake. Most of our fields are rectangles and the turns are rather mild. It will be interesting to see how Turn Path works on the combine.

Turning with the combine isn't really much of an issue anyway but since I have it, I will try it.
