| Ive always read/ been told bring the stock to your face, then to the shoulder. Not the other way around. If your stock is set up right it should hit the pocket and beads will be stacked. But if you go watch guys shoot you will see all sorts of mounting techniques. And also, although your dominant eye is the rear sight, you dont aim a shotgun, you point it. You will be to slow if you try to aim. Keep your cheek on the stock, your eyes, both of them, on the bird and let your subconciousness take care of the rest. And do what ever it takes to avoid flinching, Use as heavy a gun as you can handle, and as light a load as you can for the range your shooting. Its a very hard habit to break. | |
