I agree. He is a starter and a starter gun is fine. That’s a good reason to just shoot the 1100 till he figures out what he’s going to do. Can change stocks and dimensions easily and relatively cheap.


See about buying a "second stock" for your son to start with (assuming he needs a shorter stock). Then in a year or two, he will know if he needs a different gun or he may wash out of this sport altogether... Small first step. Encourage him a lot.. Once he is no longer a youth it gets expensive.
