| Davy, no correlation between TW and Yield. In your example, the 57# TW corn could have a seed shape that allowed for more Kernels in the little TW container (higher TW) or a pericarp that was more slippery and allowed kernels to pack a little more tightly (higher TW). But again the end yield wouldn't necessarily be any higher. The Land Grant universities have stated this. And whats also interesting is when you look at plot data a lot of the highest yielders have just "average" TW numbers. Its not like the plot winner TW is 70 or something crazy. It could be 54 and be the winner by 20 bushels or whatever.
