| theres probably a pride issue with some farmers. i know a smaller farmer with a odd brand combine who like to brag about his quality of grain and test weight is one of his brag points. that and lack of cob pieces and pieces of stalk in the sample, he`s probably blowing grain out the back doing that, the guy taking the foreign material allowance up to the maximum probably gets the biggest check. i suppose a few pieces of cob in the sample also lowers test weight a little. | |
