56 lb corn measured in approximately 1.25 cubic feet is the equivalent of one bushel. The elevator measures the weight of a known volume to get test weight. If the volume comes in over 56 lbs you get extra bushels. If the corn is light you get fewer equivalent bushels to sell. And yes it’s easier to figure out than option trading FYI. Never sell an out if the money option to make buying an out of the money option cheaper. That can get financially painful
