south central IL | I’ve said this before, although test weight doesn’t directly mean yield it sure seems( at least on my farm )that the higher test weight hybrids tend to be the higher yielding ones. This isn’t always the case but it happens quite often. I do feel that most better than expected yields are due to test weight being higher than thought, and a lot of disappointing results are from corn looking really good in the field but not weighing as good as hoped. | |
