I ran parts today. The used parts place helped me out some extra but I still swallowed pretty hard. Thanks to the nice guys at EZ equipment, Holstein Iowa.
I came home and tried to commit suicide. Thankfully the big walnut tree is was digging out came down real slow.
I am trying to figure out what I am going to do with it tomorrow.
Cut it into 8' or 12' lengths.
Get someone to saw it up with a bandsaw mill.
place the rough 2" planks with good sticker boards someplace dry and out of the sun.
In a couple years you have some really nice material that would cost you some likely 10 to 12$ per bd ft (12" x 12" x 1").
Might be worth some couple $1000.
