With the high bars on state yields set, everyone needed these rains in August to achieve them. They didn’t happen. I’ll take the under august 1st report on a lot of them. Seen it happen too many times. Rain in August has an extremely high correlation to final yields. They can still be good with no rain, but they likely won’t be records. Final yield less than the August report.
