You want a hard truth? You’re going to lose trading commodities long term. You’ve got the fees associated with doing so, plus the fact that super computers do a pretty great job of skimming cents away from the market. Can you guess right one year? Sure. Can you do it over 5-10 years? Maybe. What most don’t realize is that it wasn’t any particular analysis they got right that the market got wrong. Reality is they placed a 48/52 bet, and won. It’s like playing blackjack with card counting. You can have good days, but over the course of the lifetime the house will most likely win.
You are right for the most part, except the part about black jack and card counting.
When starting with a large enough bankroll to endure potential short term losses, accurate card counting with the proper bet amounts in relation to the count will lead to profits over the long term.
