west central Iowa | I don't exactly know what to think of how smart the market is, but supposedly the market could assume that with normal weather throughout the growing season the national yield would climb a tiny bit each year. Then as we get close to harvest then the USDA could come out with their yield estimate. The original poster did say that almost all of the yield guessing marketing groups pretty much just follow the USDA so do away with USDA's estimate and let them battle each other for the most correct estimate. | |
