I would be real curious to hear your basis for saying that. I know that every one of my ancestors for quite a few generations did not any kind of fats or oils except butter, lard and tallow. Until seed oils were refined commercially seed oils were not very available except for Olive oil. Olive oil was Mediterranean thing.
