As to the yields, I haven't traveled much, but 'here' anything non irrigated is hurting, and going downhill fast.
It's been over 2 months since we got over a half inch at a time, and a total of about an inch or a hair more in that time. We started July 2 inches over 'normal', and are now more than 3 inches below 'normal'. That means we have gotten about 5 inches less than 'normal' in July and August. In a normal year, the August monsoons and hurricanes send us moisture. Not so much this year. We even had hay down and could only get a quarter inch on it - in two rains over 2 days. | |
