Test weight is a density measurement. With 54 lb corn truck will be completely full to get 80,000 lb. 62 lb corn will look like it's 3/4 full and weigh 80,000. You can get more bushels in the bin with 62 lb corn than 54 but yield per acre doesn't have to be any higher. You are selling pounds per acre.
