Subject: Air brakes dragging

NCND
I have a 1989 KW grain truck with air brakes. The brakes will release fine when I push the yellow knob but they will slowly start to drag as I drive. It seems opposite to me because the air pressure is actually building. If I let the truck come to a stop on a slight incline it will not roll backwards. But if I apply the brakes either by pulling the yellow knob or pressing the brake pedal, when I release them the truck will roll backwards. Any ideas on what the problem might be? Also, it seems to drag on both sides of front axle (twin screw with a rear tag axle). Any help would be appreciated.
