I agree.    But I'd like to see both sow units and finishers get demolished.    Otherwise it won't take too long and someone will get the idea that they need to build a new farrowing unit to utilize those empty finishers.   

1 new 5000 head sow unit produces way more pigs than 4 old 1500 sow units that get demolished.   So then in addition to filling the empty finishers, they end up building more finishers also.


That's essentially what happened with the 100k sows Smithfield liquidated.    A bunch of guys got stupid and thought it was time to expand when they heard that news.
