Around here it would be car wrecks. Need extra help for traffic control. More flashing red lights. Drivers don't pay enough attention. Need strong guys. May have to carry a 400 pounder on a litter up out of deep ditch. The county communication center should be the ones to sound sirens for storms and such. They are sitting there 24-7.
Here, you call 911 (sherrif dept runs it) for any type of emergency, fire, police or ambulance. Even if you need to get hold of game warden or livestock officer, they dispatch them. Now if you call in a wreck, cops, fire and ambulance will get dispatched and I’m guessing if you call a fire, cops get dispatched for traffic/crowd control automatically.
