Hastings, Florida | I have often thought that. At times we only have a several day window to harvest produce, or leave it in the field.
Here in Florida, even a bad snowstorm in the populated NE U.S. can make it impossible for folks to get out and shop, or let the trucks deliver our veggies to the stores for several days.Can mean we have limited sales to that area, and reduced demand means we
might leave some crop in the field.
Farming has always been a gamble, growing produce is gambling with a blindfold on. | |
